About everyday toolbox

Small, fast, free utilities that respect your time and your data.

everyday toolbox is a collection of 56 free browser utilities — calculators, converters, formatters, and generators for the small tasks that come up every day. Format a blob of JSON, work out a percentage, decode a JWT, split a restaurant bill. Each tool does one job, loads instantly, and gets out of your way.

The principles

  • Everything runs in your browser. There is no backend. The text you paste, the passwords you generate, and the dates you enter are processed on your device and never sent anywhere. You can load a tool, disconnect from the internet, and it keeps working.
  • No sign-up, no install, no friction.Every tool is a plain web page. There are no accounts, no trials, and no “free tier” — the tools are simply free.
  • Fast and honest. Pages are static files served from a global CDN, so they load quickly anywhere in the world. What each tool does — and any limits it has — is spelled out on its page.

Who runs this?

everyday toolbox is built and maintained by an independent software developer. It is a small project, which is a feature: there is no growth team, no dark patterns, and no incentive to collect your data. The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising, which keeps the tools free without paywalls or accounts.

Something missing or broken?
